Rough, dark green leaves, vivid purple flowers in spring and summer. When it starts to look ragged, cut it back to the ground. Will even bloom some during winters. Grows to 2' tall and 4' wide. Native to South America, but naturalized across the SW. Rapid grower. Produces color over a long season spring thru summer. Perhaps the hardiest. Long lived. Can be cut back severely after bloom.
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball just above ground level. 3. Mix soil with 25% amendment and %75 soil. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build basin and water.
