  • Description

  • Notes

Upright tree with weeping habit that can grow to 30' tall and wide. Blooms in spring with creamy-white flower clusters followed by long, narrow beans in summer. Native across the Southwest from Arizona to Texas, north into Kansas, and south into Mexico 1-4000'. Often a multi trunked large spreading crown. Foliage is larger and brighter green than other mesquites. Troubled by scale, mistletoe and rabbits.
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball just above ground level. 3. Mix soil with 25% amendment and %75 soil. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build basin and water.
