Description

This variety of Miscanthus is an ornamental grass that does best in full sun to half sun. It needs medium to low water. It tends to flop in too much shade however. Eulalia expands in its circumference, keeping the crown tight. It needs well-drained soil. The clumps are about 4'-5' wide and about .5" wide. Tiny pink flowers in inflorescences appear in late summer, well above the stalks. The flowers, which resemble tassels, turn to silver later, thus the spider-like appearance and thus the cultivar name.

Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.
