  • Description

  • Notes

A very showy, shrub-like perennial grows to 2'-4' tall. Spreads by underground rhizomes. Bright tubular orange-red summer flowers with yellow-orange throats. Can tolerate low water conditions. Drought tolerant and a hummer attractor. Native of Southern AZ, Mexico and Central America at 4-5000' elevation. Thrives in wet soil but does not require it. This is the most tolerant of full sun sites.
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball just above ground level. 3. Mix soil with 25% amendment and %75 soil. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build basin and water.
