Description

Phyllostachys bambusoides is a giant grass. In a controlled environment, it grows 6'-10' high. In an uncontrolled enviroment, it grows 10'-20' high. Dense foliage makes it a good screen or hedge. It can be considered drought-tolerant but looks much better with regular water.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
