Common name:Bitsy Daylily
Botanical name:Hemerocallis 'Bitsy'

This dependable perennial has thin, strap-like, grass-like leaves reaching 12"-18" tall. Bright yellow flowers, resembling lilies, are high above the foliage, making the overall height of this plant at 24" tall. Blooms appear in spring through fall, thus making this Hemerocallis variety very popular. It needs regular watering and more during hot summer months. It prefers full sun or light shade and will tolerate seaside conditions.

Nandina, Heavenly Bamboo

Botanical name:Nandina domestica

Nandina domestica is a graceful upright shrub that grows from 3'-6' in height. It gets its name from its bamboo-like growth habit. When thinned from the center it bears a remarkable resemblance to bamboo. It is best used in groups. It can be used in a shaded patio or out in a shrub border with full sun. An interesting feature of Heavenly Bamboo is the bronze color in the new growth when planted in full sun. It also bears clusters of white flowers in the spring.

Ajuga, Bugle Flower, Carpet Bugle

Botanical name:Ajuga reptans

This colorful groundcover will grow in shade or sun with slightly moist soil. It is an evergreen with purplish rosettes that spread quickly on upright, slightly hairy stems. Blue bloom spikes cover these plants in April and May, and are 6-8" when blooming. This versatile groundcover can also be used in shady wildflower beds. -Holland Wildflower Farm

Fern Pine

Common name:Fern Pine
Botanical name:Afrocarpus elongatus

Soft, narrow, pointed, needle like leaves on graceful arching branches characterize this tree. New foliage is light green, changing to bright green. Fern Pine can be used as an individual specimen, screen, tree or shrub. Very few pests and litter so it is used as a street tree. It can slowly reach 60' tall and 40' wide. In hot inland areas, this tree needs regular watering but will tolerate drought conditions. It can be planted in full or partial sun or shade.
